The Lower Mainland/Fraser Valley (LMFV) Trap League venue club is offering a free instruction clinic to new shooters who are interested in trying PITA competition style shooting. This is your chance to learn the basics of shooting trap and experience what competition style trapshooting is all about.
The clinic consists of 2 parts held over two days on two separate days.
Part 1 is the clinic/instruction and Part 2 - is the LMFV Trap League.
Although the instruction clinic is free, participants are still required to pay the practice targets and Range User Fee (if applicable) for Day 1, and the LMFV Trap League entry fees for Day 2. Participants are also responsible for supplying their own ammunition during the clinic and league day.
In order to attend this clinic, you MUST have a valid Firearms Licence (PAL or Minor POL) or have successfully completed the Canadian Firearms Safety Course (Non-Restricted CFSC). If you don't have a shotgun, a limited number of loaner shotguns will be available for you to use. This clinic is an introduction to competition trapshooting and not an introduction to shooting. Participants should have some experience shooting a shotgun and clay targets.

Why is there a fee for this free clinic?
The clinic is free as it is run by experienced trapshooters who are volunteering their time to deliver the instruction. However, participants are responsible for the clinic target fees (and range user fee, if applicable), and the entry and PITA membership fees for the LMFV Trap League events.
This is the breakdown of the clinic cost:
As you can see above, no fee is being charged for the instruction. Typically, a trapshooting clinic such as this would cost a minimum of $100 per person, not including the target fees.
