In 2021, the five BC Lower Mainland/Fraser Valley (LMFV) gun clubs started the LMFV Winter League series in order to keep trapshooting active over the winter and introduce the sport to new shooters. The inaugural 2021 LMFV Winter League saw 126 participants and 78 of them were new to the sport.
In 2022, the five LMFV clubs formed a new non-profit society named the West Coast Clayshooting Association (WCCA) to administer the LMFV League shoots. A new LMFV Trap League Logo was also created.
In 2023, the LMFV trap league was expanded to include both a Summer League and a Winter League. Both the Winter League and Summer League are going strong with consistent 50+ attendees at each event.
